Education Sector: School Buildings Expansion and Reconstruction

In 2022-2023 Academic Year, total of 13 school buildings are being under constructed at Natmauk township in Magway region.

Among them, 8 school buildings are reconstructed because they are unsafe and decaying, and 5 are new expansion school buildings.  The construction works are being made for the students to study peacefully at school and to equal the number of student and school buildings.  

In 2020-2021 Academic Year, the constructions of 16 unsafe and decaying school buildings and 4 new school buildings were completed with national fund money in Natmauk township - It costs over 2,200 million kyats.  

Than Htike, Township Education Officer (Natmauk), said " 2020-2021 Academic year, the constructions of school buildings were completed at Basic Education High School No.2 and it costs 209.664 million kyats. And also the school building with 3 floors had been completed at Basic Education High School No.3. The school building construction in Basic Education High School No.1had completed and it costs 367.2 million kyats."

There are 212 basic education schools and 10 monastic educations in Natmauk township. Currently, in this academic year, there are over 30,000 students are attending at Natmauk township, it’s learnt.
