








Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, accompanied by government officials, conducted an inspection tour in Taungoo Township on the morning of February 3 to support the expansion of high-value, export-oriented Paw-Hsan rice cultivation and regional development projects.
First, the Chief Minister inspected and encouraged the pre-cultivation preparations for contiguous plots of export-oriented, high-value, aromatic Paw-Hsan rice meeting designated acreage targets in the Htan Taw village group, Taungoo Township. He then inspected the ongoing Taungoo bypass railway construction and coordinated to address the necessary requirements.
Subsequently, the Chief Minister inspected the 1,430-foot long, 10-foot wide inclined retaining wall construction with laterite stone pitching on the northern section of the ancient moat in the old Kaytu Madi City. He instructed the responsible officials to ensure all construction work is completed on time and in accordance with the specified standards.
Following this, the Chief Minister and officials inspected the excavated northern city wall of the old Kaytu Madi City, assessed the feasibility of grass planting between the moat and the city wall, and examined the site for constructing a moat-crossing bridge at the Mawkun Gate, adhering to the original ancient design. He instructed that the process of uncovering historical evidence must be carried out systematically at every stage.
Continuing, the Region Chief Minister visited U Ye Win's groundnut oil mill in Kyun Kone village, Taungoo Township, which operates using renewable solar energy. He observed the oil production and the process of mixing the leftover peanut meal with local raw materials to produce animal feed. He coordinated with responsible officials to support increased production output.
Afterwards, he inspected the ongoing construction of the Hti Ni Kone Park in Taungoo. He instructed the responsible officials to landscape the area aesthetically, ensure walkways are non-slippery, maintain lawns to be level, green, and beautiful, and to continuously manage the park to ensure an abundance of blooming flowers in various colors.
