AFC U20 Asian Cup China 2027: Myanmar U20 finish top of Group K Qualifiers

Myanmar signed off their AFC U20 Asian Cup China 2027 Qualifiers Group K Development Phase campaign, defeating the Maldives 6–0 on Sunday to finish top of the group. Both Myanmar and the Maldives had already secured promotion to the Qualification Phase of the next edition.

However, Myanmar’s victory saw them finish three points clear of the Maldives at the top of Group K. The hosts took the lead in the 10th minute with a goal by Sai Bo Bo Kyaw. Thura Min Thant doubled Myanmar’s advantage in the 21st minute. Myanmar maintained the pressure after the interval, and Thura Min Thant struck again in the 53rd minute to make it 3–0.

The hosts added a fourth goal in the 57th minute by Kyal Yaung Min Lay, before Kaung Khant Kyaw extended the lead in the 71st minute. Swan Zar Ni completed Myanmar’s comprehensive victory with a sixth goal in the 86th minute. The 6–0 win capped a successful Group K campaign for Myanmar U20, who finished top of the group and advanced to the Qualification Phase of the AFC U20 Asian Cup China 2027.
