Sports Sector: MOSA Union Minister inspects sports facilities

Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee Union Minister for Sports Affairs U Ye Myint Tun inspected sports facilities in Yangon on September 6 to help improve the region’s sporting standards.

The Union Minister visited Mya Thida Sports Hall and Football Ground in South Okkalapa Township, where he reviewed ongoing construction of a grandstand. He also visited Padetha Sports Ground and observed training sessions of selected athletes in weightlifting, boxing, billiards and snooker, and women’s aerobics. He encouraged the athletes to train hard and aim to become national-level athletes.
