Efforts for Agricultural Development: AYA Region CM distributed soybean seeds to farmers

The 2026-2027 monsoon paddy demonstration harvesting, oilseed soybean cultivation and seed distribution ceremony, jointly organized by the Pathein Township Agricultural Production Enhancement Supervisory Committee and Ayeyar Pathein Rice Trading Co., Ltd., was held this morning in Ton Palon Village, Pathein Township, Ayeyawady Region.

Region Chief Minister U Aye Kyaw, accompanied by officials, observed and encouraged the harvesting of Aung Naing Toe paddy variety. He also distributed Yezin-15 soybean seeds to farmers who would cultivate soybeans as an oilseed crop.

At a meeting with departmental officials and local farmers, the Region Chief Minister delivered remarks, stressing the need for collective efforts and cooperation to ensure regional self-sufficiency in edible oil and to achieve the target yields of cultivated crops.

Officials from the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Agricultural Land Management and Statistics, and other relevant departments then conducted discussions to raise awareness of appropriate cultivation methods. The Region Chief Minister also made additional remarks and coordinated the necessary measures to address the matters raised.
