Inter-Ministry Volleyball Tournament: Group-stage matches continue in Nay Pyi Taw

The group-stage matches of the 2026 Inter-Ministry Volleyball Tournament (Men’s and Women’s) continued at Wunna Theikdi Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw on Saturday.

Union Minister for Sports Affairs U Ye Myint Tun, Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Hsan Oo, deputy ministers, officials and representatives of the Myanmar Volleyball Federation enjoyed the matches.

In the men's competition, the Ministry of Construction defeated the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Sports Affairs beat the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation defeated the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation.

The Ministry of Home Affairs and the Central Bank of Myanmar also secured straight-set victories over their respective opponents. In the women's competition, the Ministry of Education defeated the Ministry of Health in straight sets.

Further matches in both men's and women's categories are scheduled for November 8, starting at 9 am. The tournament is being held from November 5 to 19 at Sports Hall B of Wunna Theikdi Stadium. Admission is free, and the public is welcome to enjoy the matches.
