Chairman, Myanmar Swiftlet Nest Farming Association, Tint Swe said "The Myanmar Swiftlet Nest Farming Association was formed temporarily in 2023. As edible swiftlet nest farming businesses are increased gradually in Myanmar, Myanmar Swiftlet Nest Farming Association is established officially under the guidance of Myanmar Livestock Federation. Edible swiftlet nests are the export commodities governed by strict, formal government-to-government (G2G) protocols."

Edible Swiftlets nests are built by saliva secreted from glands under Swiftlet’s tongues. The nests are used for about 4 months for hatchlings and nestlings and farming can be made after the swiftlets left the nests. The swiftlet nest farming requires standardized farming houses to achieve best outcomes.

Dr. Me Me Phone, Veterinarian said "Edible Swiftlets nests are rich in protein, fiber and mineral which benefit our health. Swiftlets are mostly inhabiting in Southeast Asian coastal regions such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Viet Nam, Myanmar and Thailand. The White-nest-Swiftlets can only be found in Southeast Asian Nations."

During the ceremony, the executive members for Myanmar Swiftlet Nest Farming Association were elected for 2026-2030 term.
