Education Facility: Groundbreaking ceremony for new school building

The Groundbreaking Ceremony for the new primary school building was held at Thae Kone Village, Hmawbi Township in Yangon on 4th February. The new school building project is under the instruction of the Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs.

Kyaw Moe Tun, Regional Education Officer (YGN) said "Today is the Groundbreaking Ceremony to construct the new primary school building because the original one is very old and unsafe for the students. We built a temporary building for the students to pursue their lessons. We have to report the needs of schools annually to concerned officials. When we get budget, we fulfill the needs."

The Ministry of Education is fulfilling the needs of schools across the country such as providing new school buildings, preserving the old buildings and employing new teachers.

This new school building is under construction with the Yangon Region Government fund and it is 90 feet long and 30 feet wide and it’s targeted to complete during the 2022-2023 fiscal year.
