Closing Ceremony of Culinary Training: Closing eremony of Chinese culinary training course closed

The closing ceremony of the Chinese Culinary Training course conducted under the supervision of the Ministry of Hotels, Tourism, and Culture and jointly organized with the Kunming Vocational University of Science and Technology in Kunming, Yunnan Province, People’s Republic of China was held on the morning of July 4, 2026, at the Kyin Taw Yan Chinese Temple located on Strand Road and 31 (B) Street in Mandalay.

First, Deputy Minister U Phyo Zaw Soe, accompanied by responsible officials, toured and encouraged the trainees during their practical group cooking sessions and viewed the display of Chinese dishes prepared by each group.

Next, during the ceremony, Deputy Minister U Phyo Zaw Soe delivered the opening remarks.

Following this, the Chairman of the Fukien ဖူးကျင့် International Language School presented a briefing on the theory and practical lessons taught during the Chinese Culinary Training course, as well as plans for future training sessions.

Afterward, honorary gifts were presented to the instructors, awards were given to the best cooking teams, and training completion certificates were distributed to the trainees.

Later in the afternoon, Deputy Minister U Phyo Zaw Soe met with U Thein Htay, Minister for Planning, Economy, and Finance of the Mandalay Region Government, as well as officials from the Myanmar Hoteliers Association (Mandalay Zone), the Myanmar Hoteliers Association (Sagaing Zone), members of the Mandalay Region Tourism Committee, the Union of Myanmar Travel Association, and the Myanmar Restaurant Association (Mandalay Zone) at Hotel Hazel.

During the meeting, officials from associations, along with other attendees, presented updates on current hotel operations in Myanmar. In response to the presentations, the Deputy Minister provided guidance and coordinated necessary assistance to address their requirements, it’s reported.
