









The 42nd ASEAN Chiefs of Police Conference (ASEANAPOL), hosted by the Myanmar Police Force, continued in Nay Pyi Taw on October 23 and 24, with the closing ceremony held at Padamyar Hall of Myanmar International Convention Center-1 (MICC-1) in Nay Pyi Taw in the evening.
The closing ceremony was attended by Chief of Police Forces of ASEAN member countries, senior police officials, their spouses, and delegation members, as well as representatives from Dialogue Partners such as Russia, Australia, China, INTERPOL, and the ASEAN Secretariat. Observers from Timor-Leste, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) also attended, along with the invited dignitaries.
During the ceremony, a Joint-Statement for the 42nd ASEANAPOL Conference was signed, and the ASEANAPOL commemorative plaque was handed over to the Royal Thai Police Force, which will host the 43rd ASEANAPOL Conference. The head of the Thai delegation expressed gratitude and showcased a video highlighting Thailand’s natural beauty. The Myanmar Police Chief delivered the closing speech for the conference, and a farewell dinner was held in the evening at the Jade Hall in MICC-1.
The Myanmar Police Force successfully hosted the 42nd ASEANAPOL Conference in Nay Pyi Taw from October 21 to 24, 2024. During the conference, bilateral calls were held on October 23rd between the Myanmar Police Force and the Police Forces of Indonesia, Laos, and the Royal Thai Police, focusing on enhancing cooperation. Additionally, a goodwill golf tournament was organized, and a friendship Futsal football match was played between the Myanmar Police Force and the Royal Thai Police, which will host the conference in 2025.
For the spouses of the delegates, sightseeing trips were arranged to prominent locations in Nay Pyi Taw, including the Maravijaya Buddha Image, the Myanmar Gems Museum, the National Museum, and the sites of natural scenic beauties. On October 24, the delegation leaders paid a courtesy call to the Head of State, held a second plenary meeting, and attended the closing ceremony.
At the end of the conference, Myanmar Police Force, in collaboration with Mr. David Martinez Vinluan, the Executive Director of the ASEANAPOL Secretariat, and Acting Police Brigadier General Kyaw Zeya, Head of Transnational Crime Department, issued a Joint-Statement announcing the successful conclusion of the 42nd ASEANAPOL Conference hosted by Myanmar.
