Maldives and Pakistan exchange 20 agreements across key sectors

Pakistan and the Maldives signed 20 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements to expand bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors during Maldivian President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s three-day state visit to Islamabad in October 2026.

Alongside these Government-level agreements, several institutions from both countries established arrangements to strengthen cooperation in their respective fields. The visit marks the first time by a Maldivian president to Pakistan in 11 years, coinciding with the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
