Chinese CATL unveils new batteries for heavy trucks

Chinese battery maker CATL Tuesday unveils new batteries for heavy trucks alongside its latest heavy-duty battery-swapping solution, aiming to accelerate the electrification of road freight transportation.

CATL said, those systems are made to have long lifespans and have wide temperature adaptability -- geared toward AI data centres with high computing and power demands. Founded in 2011 in the eastern Chinese city of Ningde, CATL produces more than a third of all EV batteries sold worldwide.
