Thailand's Department of Mineral Resources confirmed six 120-million-year-old dinosaur footprints in Udon Thani's PhuPhra Bat historical area. The scientist team found six footprints forming a trackway in sandstone, rather than a single footprint as initially reported.

They confirmed that the footprints belonged to a theropod, a group of dinosaurs characterized by three toes with sharp claws on each foot. Protected under Thailand's Fossil Protection Act, authorities are planning to develop the location into a scientific research center and geological tourism destination.
