Outstanding students who excelled in the 2026 matriculation examinations and entrance examinations for industrial, agricultural, and livestock universities arrived in Viet Nam on October 16 after completing their tour of Thailand.

On October 17, the student delegates visited Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where they took a cruise to enjoy its natural landscapes and scenic beauty. Located in northeastern Viet Nam, Ha Long Bay features nearly 2,000 limestone karsts and islets, as well as tropical marine ecosystems, in the Gulf of Tonkin in Quang Ninh Province.

The students also learned about measures to safeguard cultural heritage and promote environmental conservation. In Hanoi, the students visited the Temple of Literature, Viet Nam’s first university, founded in 1070. The 82 stone doctoral steles within the temple complex are inscribed on UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register.

The students observed the blue-stone turtle statues bearing elaborately carved motifs, learned about Viet Nam’s academic history, admired the ancient architecture, and explored the 3D displays of inscriptions that help preserve the country’s historical heritage. On October 18, the students visited the Ho Chi Minh Museum, an iconic landmark in Viet Nam.

They learned about Ho Chi Minh’s life and biography, the history of the struggle for independence, and the historical significance of ancient utensils, other artifacts, military uniforms, and small arms. The delegation also visited the One Pillar Pagoda, Ba Dinh Square, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, the Viet Nam Military History Museum, and Van Phuc Silk Village. During these visits, the students explored Viet Nam’s history, political and cultural heritage, and ancient architecture. They also observed historic fighter jets, tanks, frontline maps, heavy weapons, modern 3D multimedia exhibits, and the country’s silk culture, including the silk-weaving process.
