Martial Law Order No. 5/2026: Order remained in force except Ngazun, Kyaukme & Thibaw

The Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services issued the Martial Law Order No. 5/2026 on October 18. It stated that the Martial Law Order No. 4/2026, issued by the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services on 21st July 2026, shall remain in force, with the exception of Ngazun in Mandalay Region and Kyaukme and Thibaw in Shan State, where administrative, community peace and stability, and rule of law processes have returned to normal conditions. It was signed by Commander in Chief of Defense Services General Ye Win Oo.
