e-Government Implementation: Sport Affairs Union Minister presides over meeting

Union Minister for Sports Affairs U Ye Myint Tun attended a coordination meeting on the successful implementation of the e-Government system on Wednesday. In his opening remarks, the Union Minister stated that to successfully build the e-Government system, the ministry must strive for balanced development across all fronts in its three main pillars: Infrastructure, Systems & Applications, and Human Capital.

He stressed that Data Security is crucial when implementing the e-Government system, making it necessary to act in accordance with Cybersecurity Standards to protect the ministry's data and the public's personal information from cyber threats. He urged participants to openly discuss the ministry's current implementation status, challenges encountered, and future plans to develop effective Action Plans.

Next, U Myo Kyaw Thu, Permanent Secretary and Chairman of the Ministry of Sports Affairs e-Government Implementation and Cybersecurity Working Committee, discussed the need for joint collaboration to ensure the security of critical government information and to enable the e-Government Implementation Working Committee to execute its plans successfully within the designated timeframes. Following this, attendees discussed the current status of the e-Government system implementation and future operational plans. The Union Minister then provided additional necessary suggestions and feedback.
