





The ceremony for the 4th formation of the Myanmar Engineering Council was held on the morning of October 4, 2026, at the Function Hall of the Myanmar Engineering Council Office in Lanmadaw Township, Yangon Region.
According to the agenda, the master of ceremonies read out and confirmed the list of Patrons and Council Members of the 4th formation of the Myanmar Engineering Council, and the Council Members took an oath of office in the presence of the Patrons.
Following this, Patron of the Myanmar Engineering Council, Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant, delivered an opening address. In his address, the Union Minister noted that today marks the day when 60 council members were selected and sworn in for the 4th term of the Myanmar Engineering Council, and that the Council's Executive Committee will subsequently be elected.
He explained that the Myanmar Engineering Council Law was enacted in 2013, and in accordance with the law, the council is reconstituted once every four years—the 1st formation took place in 2014, the 2nd in 2018, the 3rd in 2022, and this 4th formation in 2026 is established with the approval of the Union Government.
During the second part of the ceremony, members of the Myanmar Engineering Council elected the Executive Committee in accordance with established laws and regulations in the presence of the Patrons. The Patrons provided necessary guidance, after which the newly elected Chairman of the Myanmar Engineering Council delivered a speech of thanks, successfully concluding the event.
