Asian Games : Myanmar wins third bronze medal in Sepak Takraw

Myanmar won a bronze medal in the men’s four-player Sepak Takraw event at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya. Japan won gold, Indonesia took silver, while Myanmar and India shared the bronze medals.

Myanmar sent 18 Sepak Takraw team members to the Games, including two officials, two coaches, 11 male athletes and three female athletes. Myanmar competed in five sports at the Asian Games, teqball team, esports, sepak takraw, gymnastics and women’s football.

The country has so far won 2 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals, placing 23rd among 45 countries. Myanmar has also improved on its medal tally from previous Asian Games. At the 2023 Asian Games, Myanmar won one gold and two bronze medals, while at the 2018 Games it won two bronze medals.
