A 33/11 KV, 5 MVA power substation in Kyaikto Township of Mon State was damaged after two drop bombs were dropped on its control room at around 12:10 a.m. on September 30. The attack damaged the control room’s walls, roof, ceiling, windows and doors, as well as 33 KV and 11 KV control panels and control cables, causing power outages.

Power distribution was restored to some areas at 9:55 a.m. on October 1 after the affected substation was connected to another power line. However, several nearby villages remained without electricity. Electricity workers are working to restore power to the affected areas as soon as possible.
