Rehabilitation Works : Progress of reconstruction efforts in Chin State

Falam district and township departmental officials held a meeting on rehabilatation and reconstruction efforts within Chin State at the City Hall in Falam Township on October 2nd. Deputy Minister for Construction Dr. Thaung Naing attended the meeting and gave a speech.

In implementing rehabilatation works within the state, the Deputy Minister instructed the needs on reconstruction of basic infrastructures, meeting the set standards, while operating government mechanism systematically.

He said repairing and long term maintainance of damaged transport infrastructures will facilitate smooth flow of goods and could help to reduce surging commodity prices. The Deputy Minister also highlighted drinking water sufficiency for public health as well as systematic management of  the returnees.

The attendees clarified the sector-wise rehabilatition process and the Deputy Minster coordinated the needs. The Deputy Minister and party then proceeded to Falam Temporary Hospital to inspect the arrangement of outpatient ward and temporary operation room, heard reports by the Medical Superintendent and concerned officials and coordinated the needs.
