Labour Affairs: MOL Union Minister tours in Yangon

Union Minister for Labour U Khin Maung Soe, together with officials, inspected the buildings of Technical Support Office (Yangon) in Thingangyun township on Sunday. During the inspection, Director General of Labour Department reported on the restoration of the building and plans to use for dual training in which the Union Minister said that training schools are necessary to open skilled training courses for trainees, employees and employers.

He also stressed the staff to carry out their works in line with the laws and regulations and to ensure proper maintenance of the departments and training schools. The Union Minister then observed the completion of Hemodialysis machine installation and test running at the Workers' Hospital (Htantapin) where he instructed the officials to ensure speedy procurement of medicines for the insured workers suffering from chronic kidney disease.

Next, the Director General of Social Security Board presented the progress of Water purification machine Installation and measures to purchase related materials. He also added that arrangement will be made for insured workers in Shwepyitha and Hlaingthaya townships who want to receive dialysis session in Workers' Hospital (Htantapin) instead of hospitals in the downtown areas.
