Pope Leo XIV holds a prayer at holy shrine in Lourdes, southwestern France

Pope Leo XIV prayed at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes in southwestern France as part of his four-day apostolic trip across the country. During his time at the shrine, he prayed for peace, offered intentions for France and its leaders, and spent time meeting with the sick, caregivers, and pilgrims.

The pilgrimage operating under the motto "That the world may have life" spans Paris, Lourdes, and Metz. Following his visits to Paris and Lourdes, he travels to Metz for the final leg of his trip on Monday morning. After celebrating Mass at Saint-Étienne Cathedral and attending a farewell ceremony, his flight is scheduled to depart from Metz-Nancy-Lorraine Airport for Rome at 7:00 PM local time.
