Alanya hosts second carob harvest festival

The second Alanya Carob Harvest Festival was held in Antalya’s Alanya district, one of Türkiye’s leading carob-producing areas. The event featured a competition for the heaviest carob, as well as a variety of products made from the fruit. Visitors watched the harvest, sampled different carob-based foods and drinks, and saw traditional carob molasses being prepared.

The festival also featured a competition to find the heaviest carob. A 59-gram carob won first place, and the top-performing farmers received awards.
