Regional Parliament: Chin State Hluttaw holds first day of third regular session

The first day of the Third Regular Session of the Third Chin State Hluttaw was held on Thursday at the Chin State Hluttaw hall in Hakha. Thirteen of the 15 Hluttaw Representatives attended the session, accounting for 86.67 percent attendance rate. The session was chaired by Chin State Hluttaw Speaker U Kol Liang Than .

Chin State Chief Minister Dr. Wung Sun Thang submitted the state’s supplementary budget and revised estimates for the 2026–2027 financial year. The hluttaw committee also presented its review and recommendations on the budget. The first-day session was adjourned after Hluttaw Representatives were invited to register if they wished to discuss the budget matter. The second day of the session will resume at 10 a.m. on August 14.
