President U Min Aung Hlaing met with Union Ministers, the Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council, and Region and State Chief Ministers on Monday afternoon at the Meeting Hall of the Presidential Office in Nay Pyi Taw, providing necessary guidance on national economic development.

The President stated that due to internal instability, the development of manufacturing industries has been weak, resulting in slow national economic growth. He stressed the need to achieve target yields and increase output in agricultural activities. He noted that in order to further expand domestic production, adequate labor resources are required.

He urged regions and states where oilseed crops thrive to make concerted efforts toward achieving self-sufficiency in domestic edible oil consumption. Regarding investment, he highlighted the need to prioritize domestic investors in both local and foreign investment sectors, while also inviting foreign investment. He further instructed officials to make advance preparations for potential impacts caused by the El Niño weather pattern.
