





Myanmar Gems Emporium Organizing Central Committee held its first meeting at Mani Yadanar Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday.
Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U San Oo attended the meeting, along with central committee members and officials from the Myanmar Gems and Jewelry Entrepreneurs Association (MGJEA). The meeting focused on preparations for the 61st Myanmar Gems Emporium and the timely completion of renovation works at earthquake-damaged Mani Yadanar Jade Hall and the Myanmar Gems Museum in Nay Pyi Taw.
In his remark, the Union Minister said the emporium aims to boost foreign exchange earnings, support MSME development, improve cash flow for local gem entrepreneurs and create more employment opportunities. Central Committee members, officials from the Myanma Gems Enterprise and MGJEA’s representatives then presented updates on renovation works and event preparations. The Union Minister also coordinated the needs in response to the reports.
