Farmers’ Technical Forum : Benefits of planting quality sunflower seeds

The 119th Farmers’ Technical Forum was held online on Thursday, under the topic “Benefits of planting quality sunflower seeds.”

Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. Ye Tint Tun explained efforts to ensure edible oil security through local production, support for sunflower cultivation, and the importance of using quality seeds to increase per acre yield.  This was followed by presentation on high-yield sunflower varieties. Experts and researchers from agriculture and livestock departments joined the session, along with 230 farmers and agriculturists from across the country through 100 Zoom points.
