International Conference : iCEEt 2026 - engineering, economy and technology

The International Conference on Engineering, Economy and Technology (iCEEt 2026) was held  in Yangon on Sunday. Union Minister for Industry and MSME Development Dr. Charlie Than joined the conference virtually, and made an opening speech, saying that the conference aims to build Myanmar’s digital economy through engineering and technology.

He highlighted the importance of innovation, AI, digital technology, and Industry 4.0 for national development. He stressed that digital transformation benefit not only big companies but also MSMEs, helping small producers, food businesses, artisans, and family enterprises to grow and compete.

He highlighted the support of using digital tools for entrepreneurs from production planning and quality improvement to e‑commerce and customer service. He added that engineers and IT professionals play a vital role in designing solutions, reducing costs, improving quality, and strengthening competitiveness. The Union Minister urged close cooperation between government, engineers, IT experts, and business owners to create sustainable economic growth.
