Pyithu Hluttaw Session: 27th day of second regular session held

The 27th day of the second regular session of the Third Pyithu Hluttaw was held at 10:00 a.m. on July 22nd, at the Pyithu Hluttaw meeting hall in Nay Pyi Taw, with 344 out of 344 eligible parliamentarians in attendance.

According to the agenda, the session began with the question-and-answer segment. U Tint Wai (Dagon Myothit (North) Constituency) asked how measures will be taken to reduce and stabilize commodity prices. Sai Kyaw Hla (Kunhing Constituency) asked whether there are plans to upgrade the Namlan–Khamyone–Mwaydaw Holin Pagoda Road in Karli Town, Kunhing Township into a concrete road. Sai Tun San (a) Sai Say Han (Langkho Constituency) asked whether there are plans to officially open the Narmunlon border checkpoint in Homein Town, Langkho District. Dr. Htein Win (Kyongone Constituency) inquired about the Ministry of Electricity and Energy's share in the electricity sector for the 2027–2028 fiscal year, which projects will be executed, how the power sector will proceed in subsequent fiscal years, and the current and future plans for international cooperation.

U Sai Sai Naw (Mawkmai Constituency) asked whether there are plans and future steps to supply electricity to Honam and Pantan village tracts in Mawkmai Township. U Naing Min Oo (Kyangin Constituency) asked when the construction of a 66/11 KV power substation in Batye Town, Kyangin Township will begin, how long it will take, and when full electricity access will be restored. U Win Myint (Twante Constituency) asked whether field inspections are being conducted to grant land grant leases to Bayintnaung and Myathida Wards in Twante Township. U Tin Myint (Dala Constituency) asked whether there are plans to issue land grant leases for village land across 23 village tracts in Dala Township. U San Myint (Myittha Constituency) asked whether there are plans to officially recognize 7 villages in Myittha Township as sub-villages and, if so, in which fiscal year this will be implemented.

A total of 8 questions were raised, which were answered and clarified by Deputy Minister for Finance and Revenue Daw Than Than Lin, Deputy Minister for Border Affairs Major General Kyaw Swa Oo, Deputy Minister for Commerce U Min Min, Deputy Minister for Electricity and Energy U Aye Kyaw, and Deputy Minister for Home Affairs Major General Min Thu, it’s reported.
