Field Inspection Tour : Rakhine State CM conducted field inspection in Kyaukphyu

Rakhine State Chief Minister U Naing Oo and departmental officials, conducted field inspections of regional development works in Kyaukphyu Township on the morning of May 10.

 

During the inspection, the Chief Minister examined the completion status of the sports hall renovation at the Kyaukphyu Sports Ground, prospects for upgrading the sports ground, and the completion of Thathana Beikman, providing necessary coordination with responsible officials.

 

Afterwards, the Chief Minister and party visited Security Police Force (Branch) No. 32, presenting food stuffs to the force members and their families. At the Force Commander's office hall, officials explained the construction of retaining walls, concrete paving works, and water supply projects being undertaken within the Security Police Force (Branch) No. 32. The Chief Minister gave necessary directives and toured the ongoing construction works.

 

The Chief Minister and party then inspected measures and construction status for ensuring the durability of roads and bridges from Thaing Chaung Intersection to Thit Poke Taung Village, as well as the Onshore Gas Terminal (OGT) near Gone Chein Village, providing necessary guidance.

 

Subsequently, the Chief Minister and party paid homage to township Ovadacariya Sayadaws from Kyaukphyu at the Naga Kyaung Pariyatti Monastery, offering alms and requisites. They then visited the District Public Hospital to encourage the vaccination and feeding program for children under three years old and pregnant women, presenting gifts to the children and cordially greeting the doctors, nurses, and health staff.

 

Following that, at the Rakhine State Government Guest House in Kyaukphyu, the Chief Minister met with district and township level departmental staff, providing necessary guidance, responding to their presentations, coordinating requirements with responsible officials, and presenting rice and food provisions to the departmental staff, giving cordial greetings.

 

In the evening, the Chief Minister and party inspected sites for the Marine Police Force Office and a systematic industrial agriculture farm in Kyaukphyu, as well as the preserved condition of the colonial-era residence of writer Maurice Collis, kept in its original state, issuing necessary directives to officials.

 

On the morning of May 11, the Rakhine State Chief Minister and officials cordially met with teachers at Basic Education High School No. 2, inspecting the school building and science room and coordinating necessary matters with responsible officials.

 

Afterwards, the Chief Minister attended a meeting at the Rammawati  Hall with Hluttaw representatives, departmental officials, ward and village tract administrators, and local residents, delivering a speech.

 

Present Township elders, village tract administrators, and residents then discussed and submitted requirements for township development. The State Chief Minister, State Hluttaw Speaker, Deputy Speaker, and State Ministers responded to the discussions and coordinated necessary matters with responsible officials.

 

The Chief Minister and party then inspected environmental cleanliness, proper water drainage, and road upgrading possibilities around Basic Education High School No. 1, issuing necessary directives to officials. Subsequently, the Chief Minister visited the Internal Gas Station (IGS) near Gone Chein Village, where the project manager of the Southeast Asia Oil and Natural Gas Pipeline Project explained ongoing operations. The Chief Minister discussed and asked follow-up questions based on the presentation, then toured the worksite, it’s reported.
