Earthquake Disaster Simulation Drill: Tanintharyi Region CM observed the simulation drill

Organized by the Tanintharyi Region Government, an earthquake disaster simulation drill was held at Basic Education High School No. (1) in Dawei on Wednesday, with the aim of enabling a rapid and effective response in the event of natural disasters occurring in the region.

Tanintharyi Region Chief Minister U Zaw Naing Oo, the Chief Justice of the Region High Court, region ministers, departmental officials, teachers and students attended and observed the drill.

First, staff members from the Disaster Management Department conducted educational demonstrations for students on the appropriate measures to take and avoid in the event of an earthquake, as well as important safety measures that they should know and follow. Chief Minister U Zaw Naing Oo and officials observed the demonstrations and encouraged the participants.

Next, the simulation drill was conducted systematically in accordance with the planned procedures.

Afterwards, the Chief Minister delivered remarks on the implementation of disaster simulation drills at schools. He then distributed nutritional snacks and bottles of drinking water to the joint teams participating in the simulation exercise and cordially greeted the participants, it is reported.
