

The Supreme Court of the Union officially released its 2025 Annual Report, in both Myanmar and English.
The report is accessible to the public on the official website of the Supreme Court of the Union.
The objectives of the annual report are to ensure transparency and accountability within the judicial process, provide a realistic assessment of court activities and performance, improve the Court's efficiency, and raise public awareness regarding judicial reform.
Court Annual Reports have been issued every year since 2016 to highlight the performance of the Supreme Court of the Union and the Courts at different levels. This 2025 Annual report marks the 10th edition which serves as a comprehensive record, highlighting the continuous progress and achievements of the Supreme Court of the Union throughout the decade-long period from 2016 to 2025. A specific section of the report features the efforts of the Supreme Court of the Union in 2025.
These include implementing strategic schemes following the major Mandalay Earthquake on March 28, 2025, to ensure that judicial functions remained uninterrupted despite the damage; reducing case backlogs; integrating of technology in judicial management more; and notably, mediating of bank mortgage cases successfully through Mediation Centers across various Region and State High Courts; inaugurating the new building of the Judicial College as an advanced judicial training center; implementing the Supreme Court of the Union’s AML/CFT National Strategic Action Plan 2025; strengthening professional development training programs for judges; and enhancing cooperation with international judicial partners.
