



The 108th Farmers’ Technical Discussion was held online at the Department of Agricultural Research in Zeyathiri Township on Saturday. The event aims to help farmers share experiences, solve agricultural challenges, and improve productivity.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. Tin Htut said the weekly discussions have been held every Saturday since August 2023 to strengthen cooperation between departments and farmers. He encouraged farmers to produce and use quality seeds, improve sustainable farming practices, avoid harmful activities like burning fields, and grow diverse crops.
He also highlighted the importance of using modern technology, including AI and mobile tools, and improving soil fertility. Experts discussed topics on irrigation systems, crop protection, safe food production, pest control, high-yield crop varieties, and market-oriented farming. A total of 248 participants, including researchers, professors, officials, and farmers from different regions, joined the discussion online.
