Better Transportation : New road opened in Sittwe

Commemorating the 81st Anniversary of Armed Forces Day, an opening ceremony of Sittwe-Palinpyin new concrete road was held in Sittwe on Sunday with the attendance of Chief Minister U Htein Lin.

After clarification on the construction of new road by official from Road Department, the State Transportation Minister and officials presented mini flags to the Chief Minister and officials. A resident then expressed words of thanks. Next, Chief Minister and officials opened the new concrete road and posed for documentary photos.

Afterwards, the Chief Minister and party inspected along the road and cordially greeted locals. Sittwe-Palinpyin concrete road is 3 mile 5.44 furlong long and 18 ft wide, and it was implemented by the State government and Union Budgets. On the same day, the Chief Minister and party observed the preparation of lunch, donated by well-wishers for members of Myanmar Police Force and Tatmadawmen and presented cash of honor.
