Work Undertakings: Agriculture, forest and sports activities

Chief Minister of Kachin State U Khet Htein Nan on Saturday, visited the Bala Min Htin Model Farm in Myitkyina, where farmers demonstrated summer crop cultivation techniques including peanut planting, intercropping with sunflowers, organic soil fertilization, and high-yield methods. Farmers were also supported with seeds, natural fertilizers, and cash assistance for cultivation costs.

The Chief Minister emphasized proper farming methods, soil fertility management, and timely support to increase crop yields and reduce costs. He also attended the 2026 International Day of Forests ceremony at the state government office, highlighting the link between forest resources, ecosystem services, and the state’s socio-economic development, and encouraged public-private-community cooperation in forest conservation.

On Friday, the Chief Minister inspected sports training camps in Myitkyina, observing coaching sessions in futsal, football, volleyball, and judo for youth and adults, encouraging skill development and awarding 5.4 million kyats to 27 coaches for their contributions.
