Online Scam Operations: Efforts to eradicate online scam and gambling

Authorities arrested individuals involved in online scam and gambling operations in Muse of northern Shan State and Lae Char Township of southern Shan State.

In Muse, 85 Chinese nationals were detained along with hundreds of phones, computers, and other equipment used in scam activities. Additional devices were also seized from other locations in the area.

In Lae Char, security forces discovered several buildings used for online scam operations and confiscated computers, Starlink devices, and related equipment. It is learnt that further legal action will be taken, and efforts to combat online scams will continue in cooperation with neighboring countries and international organizations.
