Opening Ceremony: YGN Region Chief Minister attends the ceremony

Under the guidance of Yangon Region Government, opening ceremony of MGND Solvent Extraction & Refinery Plant which was implementing by Mandalay Global Network Distribution Co, Ltd. was held at the facility in Dagon Myothit (Seikkan) Township on Wednesday.

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein attended the ceremony, and took part in the ceremonial ribbon cutting, together with officials. They later unveiled the signboard of the new facility, and took a tour to observe the production process inside the new plant. Following this, CEO U Htun Htun Win from MGND provided the reports on the salient points of the new plant.

Chief Minister U Soe Thein later made a speech, saying that it was an important basic industry work for Myanmar edible oil security, and integrated development of agriculture and industrial works. He added that production of high quality edible oil and value added by-products could help increase the local production and support local business and employment opportunities.
