Acting President and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing sent a message on the 52nd anniversary Mon State Day, which falls on March 19.
The Acting President wished for well-being of the Mon nationals residing in Mon State and other areas as well as all union brethren across the country. He highlighted the strategic location of Mon State with coastal route for trade, its favourable climatic condition and land resources, and flourishing of Sasana with various prominent pagodas.
He stressed that the nation is now in the time of transition to democracy, urging all to have unity, discipline, rule of law and intellectual concept. He reiterated the successful holding of the election, followed by the convening of hluttaw sessions for presidential election, leading the emergence of the new government.
He called for collaboration of all entire people and experts in various fields for successful implementation of the work processes, supporting the new government. He also outlined the government's efforts for education, health care services, rule of law, better transportation and MSME development. Emphasizing the importance of unity and harmony for peace and prosperity of the nation, he urged all to serve for the interest of the nation and its people based on the union spirit and patriotic fervour.
