Voting is a national duty of the citizens. To pave the way for a better future through elections, the Ministry of Information, in collaboration with the Nay Pyi Taw Council and Region/State Governments, is conducting a nationwide public awareness campaign for the 2025 Multi-Party Democracy General Election.

In the afternoon on December 10, at the Convocation Hall of the Yezin Agricultural University in Nay Pyi Taw, a public awareness campaign was held for the successful conduct of the 2025 Multi-Party Democracy General Election. Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, together with the Pro-Rectors, Heads of Departments, Professors, Lecturers, Teachers, students, and officials from the Yezin Agricultural University, the University of Veterinary Science, and the University of Forestry and Environmental Sciences (Yezin), attended and supported the event.

First, documentary videos titled "Towards a Better Future, Rebuilding after Overcoming the Devastating Earthquake" and "Moving Forward Towards the Goal" were screened. Following that, the Union Minister explained that this campaign is being held to ensure all eligible voters can vote in the upcoming Multi-Party Democracy General Election on December 28.

He stated that every citizen loves their country, their village, and their region. Therefore, every citizen aged 18 and above has the responsibility to vote for representatives who can develop their country, village, and region. Such voting is also an inherent right of every citizen.

He emphasized that an election is a national affair, beyond just party politics. The purpose of this event is to educate people that one should and must vote for the country. He stressed the importance of the upcoming election and urged everyone to fulfill their civic duty by casting the ballot in their heart for their preferred party or organization.

Afterwards, the Union Minister and officials conducted a lucky draw for the attendees, giving away 30 sets of MRTV DTH equipment and 20 DVB-T2 Set Top Boxes. Along with a modern band from Myanmar Radio and Television (MRTV), renowned artists and staff performed with traditional dance and songs.

Similarly, officials from the Ministry of Information distributed voter awareness pamphlets titled "Let's Vote Together" to students and staff from the Yezin Agricultural University, the University of Veterinary Science, and the University of Forestry and Environmental Sciences (Yezin).
