Business Network Exhibition Hall: Various Services for MSME entrepreneurs provided

At the Union-level MSME Product Exhibition and Competition from February 10 to 14, the Business/Networking Exhibition Hall provided various services for MSME entrepreneurs.

These services included international market networking, domestic market networking, investment connections, and One Stop Services from relevant ministries. On February 12, the domestic market networking was facilitated for 35 MSME entrepreneurs from 12 Regions and States.

Their products were connected with 5 retail businesses such as Gandamar, Asia Light, Capital, Sein Gayhar and Myanmar Product Exchange City Mart. For international market networking, 15 MSME entrepreneurs from 6 Regions and States, along with 16 commercial attachés, clarified the matters on goods and Services such as Rubber, Chilli, Salt, Honey, Noni, cotton fabric and food productions.

For investment networking, 15 MSME entrepreneurs from 3 Regions and States were connected with the banks such as A Bank, SME Development Bank, KBZ Bank, to secure investment funds. At the Investment and Company Administration Directorate, 9 MSME entrepreneurs consulted on company registration via the Myanmar Companies Online (MyCO) system.

The Department of Agriculture addressed inquiries regarding the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for exporting maize (corn) produced by Treasure Corn in Kayah State, including drying machinery and maize seed trading operations, in accordance with the requirements of the Plant Protection Division to control the spread of crop pests and diseases.

The Department of Trade, in collaboration with two regions and the Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory, facilitated the export of food products, maize, aquatic products, and rubber. They also handled the licensing of eight types of businesses, through the TradeNet 2.0 system. Additionally, they provided guidance on online sales registration processes and matters related to Online Certificates of Origin (CO) for those who came to inquire and discuss.

The Intellectual Property Department addressed 10 MSME entrepreneurs regarding trademark registration, carrying out for obtaining Filling Date from IPD in One-Stop Service and the officials responded to inquiries of 21 entrepreneurs about the intellectual property rights of trademark, industrial designs, invention processes, literature and arts and the requirements for applications.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Department provided clarifications to 6 enterprises from 4 Regions and States, on FDA’s recommendations for local food productions, import goods and requirements for extension of registration.

On the third day of the Union-level MSME Product Exhibition and Competition, the Business Matching Pavilion connected MSME entrepreneurs with domestic and international markets and potential investment opportunities. A total of 120 MSME entrepreneurs, 5 retail business owners, 3 banking representatives, and 16 commercial attachés participated in 144 business matching sessions, fostering valuable discussions and connections.
