Inspection of Vessels: MOIP UM inspected vessels docked

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing, accompanied by officials, inspected Zin Yaw (1), (2), (3) vessels docked at Kyan Mar Yay Jetty in Kyauktada Township, Yangon Region, on February 23. During the inspection, the Union Minister reviewed personnel on duty, engine rooms, cabins, and decks for immigration inspections. The Union Minister also assessed boarding procedures, fire safety, and disaster prevention measures and provided guidance for necessary improvements.

He heard reports on the major renovation of Zin Yaw vessels and port immigration activities and instructed the necessary measures.

The Union Minister and party then met with vessel crews and immigration personnel. During the meeting, the Union Minister highlighted that the three renovated vessels will enable faster and more efficient maritime immigration operations. He stressed coordination with related departments, safety, and continuous skill development for staff. The Union Minister also urged all to regularly inspect vessels, prevent fire and natural disasters, ensure safety, uphold good administration, and provide courteous service in line with laws. Cash and food assistance were provided to the crews, during the meeting, it’s reported.
