Meeting on paper acceptance: MoE UM delivered an opening speech

The paper acceptance and review meeting for the International Conference on Applied Research in Education (2025) was held at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Education Office No. 13 in Nay Pyi Taw.

The event was attended by Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Phay, Deputy Minister Dr. Zaw Myint, permanent secretaries, directors-general, rectors, deputy permanent secretaries, pro-rectors, subject professors, and invited guests from the Ministry of Education and related ministries.

In his opening speech, the Union Minister highlighted that the conference will focus on five key areas for promoting future international collaborations: Research on Teacher Education, Applied Research on Arts and Sciences, Research on Sustainable Scientific Collaboration of Ocean and Earth Sciences, Research on MSMEs and TVET, Research on Natural Language Processing (NLP) and AI Technology.

The conference theme, “Navigating the Future: Education, Science, and Technology for Brighter and More Prosperous Societies,” aims to guide discussions toward creating a richer and more prosperous society through advancements in education, science, and technology.

He emphasized the importance of selecting papers that meet international standards and announced that distinguished scholars, both domestic and international, will deliver keynote addresses and special talks. The Union Minister urged the participants—professors and educators—to evaluate the submitted papers based on their expertise and the set criteria.

He called for collaborative efforts to ensure the success of this internationally significant conference. Following this, Deputy Minister Dr. Zaw Myint outlined the review and verification process for categorizing and approving high-quality papers according to the thematic groups.

Subsequently, Dr. Soe Moe Lwin, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Education Research, Planning, and Training, presented the received papers categorized by subject area and field. The meeting continued with group discussions where participating educators critically reviewed each paper. These discussions finalized the acceptance and verification of papers for the International Conference on Applied Research in Education (2025).
