Tour in Pathein: Union Minister visits sports facilities in Pathein

Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs and Hotels and Tourism Jeng Phang Naw Taung visited Pathein in the Ayeyawady Region on Saturday, to inspect ongoing and completed sports facility projects. 

The Union Minister and party inspected the construction of the Pathein Sports and Physical Education School, including a three-story hostel, electrical installations, and other facilities funded by the 2025-2026 and 2024-2025 Union budgets.

The Union Minister urged responsible officials to ensure quality construction, follow standards, complete projects on time, and prepare the school for early opening. The Union Minister also met with local sports staff to encourage them to perform their duties responsibly, and coordinate effectively for youth and sports development.

The Union Minister then visited the Koe Thein Sports Ground and the Pathein Olympic-standard swimming pool. He emphasized proper maintenance, regular cleaning, and continuous swimming training to develop future athletes.
