Religious Ceremony: Day meal offered to religious title recipient Sayadaws

A ceremony to offer day meal to religious title recipient Sayadaws for 2026 was held at Aggadipadhi Sasana Beikmandawgyi in Maravijaya Buddha Park of Nay Pyi Taw on Saturday.

Prior to the ceremony, Acting President, Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Senior General Min Aung Hlaing offered emerald alms bowl, fruits, flowers, water and lights to the Maravijaya Naungdawgyi Buddha Image. The ceremony later commenced with the three time recitation of Namotasa.

The congregation led by the Acting President received Five Precepts from the Chairman of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee, Thanlyin Min Kyaung Monastery Sayadaw, and listened to the parittas, recited by the members of the Sangha. This was followed by donations of offertories to the attendee Sayadaws, title recipient Sayadaws and a nun by the Acting President, wife and party.

After sharing the merits gained, day meal was offered to the title recipient Sayadaws from home and abroad and the nun.
