






Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo, along with members of the Nay Pyi Taw Council, the City Development Committee, and other officials, visited Thitseintpin Village in Pyinmana Township on 31st October to provide support to the local farmers affected by flood caused by TyphoonYagi. They distributed winter crop seeds, including peas and sunflower seeds, for replanting damaged paddy fields and attended the demonstration of land preparation and cultivation methods for winter crops.
Chairman U Than Tun Oo encouraged farmers to work together with departments to restore crop cultivation on their lands.
Later, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman and Council member Col. Ye Moe distributed the seeds to the farmers. Departmental heads from the Nay Pyi Taw Agriculture Department and the Industrial Agriculture Department presented updates on efforts to restore inundated paddy fields.
Farmers in attendance expressed their needs, to which the Chairman pledged departmental cooperation to provide support. He also observed land preparation and soil restoration using machinery provided by the Industrial Agriculture Department to facilitate crop replanting.
Following this, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman and party visited Pyinmana Township’s Paung Laung Sports Ground to meet with athletes representing Nay Pyi Taw in the Fifth National Sports Festival. He encouraged them, offered cash assistance and supplementary foodstuff, and observed their training, addressing necessary requirements.
Next, the Chairman and party inspected a cattle farm owned by U Thaung Kyi in the Sha Daw (ရှားတော)Village of Zabuthiri Township. They discussed ways to develop the farm further, including cultivating animal feed and preventing diseases.
Later, in Lewe Township's Thirimingalar Hall, the Chairman attended aceremony for honoring those involved in regional development projects. He also discussed agricultural, livestock, education, healthcare, and developmental issues with local officials.
Next, Council member U Myint Soe provided updates on flood relief efforts and ongoing recovery activities, while the Chairman of Lewe Township Administration Body reported on honoring those contributing to the township’s development projects.
Then, theNay Pyi Taw Council Chairman and members distributed relief items to villagers affected by Typhoon Yagi's floods and awarded certificates and commemorative gifts to the departmental personnel, village leaders, and charity groups. On behalf of the honorees, the head of Minbyin Village expressed gratitude.
U Than Tun Oo shared a meal with attendees before inspecting the Yangon-Mandalay Union Highway in Lewe Township, assessing progress on road expansion and drainage improvements. He instructed that landscaping, drainage systems, and cleanliness measures be systematically managed.
