







Regarding the effects of Typhoon Yagi, some regions and states have experienced floods and waterlogging, causing extensive damage.
Chairman of the Mandalay Region Natural Disaster Management Committee Chief Minister U Myo Aung and party visited Tada-U District, Kyaukse District, Meiktila District, and Yamethin District in Mandalay Region met with the flood victims, offered words of encouragement and distributed essential food supplies and relief items provided by National Disaster Management Committee and basic food supplies and clothing contributed by Mandalay Region Government and well-wishers on September 2.
The ceremonies of providing relief supplies were held in Tada-U Township Hall in Tada-U District, Kyaukse Township Hall in Kyaukse District, Shwe Bon Thar Monastery in Kume Town in Myittha Township, Thazi Township Hall in Meiktila District, and the Thilawa Hall in Yamethin District. At these ceremonies, the Chief Minister of Mandalay Region met with the flood victims and delivered words of encouragement.
At the ceremony, Region Chief Minister, Region Ministers, members of RegionFederation of Women's Affairs and representatives from the Region's Mother and Child Care Supervisory Committee, provided relief materials such as canned foods, dried noodles, relief items, financial support for the families of those who lost their lives due to the floods, citizenship scrutiny cards, Form 66/6 certificates, seeds, natural fertilizers, sprayers for agricultural use, natural liquid fertilizers, fish fingerlings, and other essentials.
In total, the National Disaster Management Committee provided relief supplies for 45,301 households, covering a population of 186,717 people. This included 6,317 bags of rice, 962,254 cans of food, and 1,985,270 packs of dried noodles.
Additionally, National Disaster Management Committee and the Region Natural Disaster Management Committee provided for the 140 people who lost their lives due to the floods and waterlogging with financial support of 1.1 million kyats per person, amounting to a total of 154 million kyats.
