2nd Tree Planting of MOHA: MOHA UM delivered an address

The Second Monsoon Mass Tree-Planting Ceremony of the Ministry of Home Affairs was held Monday morning on land adjacent to the General Administration Department office compound in Dekkhinathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw Council Area.

The ceremony was attended by Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen. Nyunt Win Swe, officials from the Union Minister's Office, departments and organizations under the ministry's supervision, as well as members of the security forces and ministry staff. At the ceremony, the Union Minister delivered an address.

He then led the tree-planting activity at the designated sites together with Chief of the Myanmar Police Force Lt-Gen. Soe Hlaing, the Permanent Secretary, and responsible officials from the ministry's departments and organizations. The Union Minister also toured the planting sites to observe and encourage members of the security forces and ministry staff as they participated in the mass tree-planting activity as a national movement.

During the first monsoon tree-planting ceremony, the Ministry of Home Affairs planted a total of 1,040 saplings, including 270 premium grade teak trees. During the second monsoon tree-planting ceremony, the ministry collectively planted 1,100 saplings, including 127 premium grade teak trees, it’s reported.
