







On 29th September, Union Minister for Health Dr.Thet Khaing Win accompanied by concerned officials visited Kyi Taung Village Administrative Office in ZeyyaThiri Township, Aung Si Thar Monastery in Pobbathiri Township and NyaunLont rural health department in Tatkone Township and oversaw the health care service provision administered by the specialists from Nay Pyi Taw (1000-bedded) and (300-bedded) People’s Hospitals, Children Hospital and Orthopedic Hospital, Mandalay People’s Hospital and Yangon Mental Health Hospital.
The Union Minister and party gave words of comfort to the flood victims who are receiving treatments and provided foodstuff and medicines. The Union Minister and party also inspected the reoperation of the Si Pin Thar Yar Rural Health Department in Zeyyathiri Township and provided 11.7 million kyat cash assistance for the health care personnel. Subsequently, the Union Minister and party visited Basic Education High School in Magyi Pin Village, inspected the water chlorination, cleaning and disinfecting process and provided necessary instructions.
Next, the Union Minister and party over viewed the health care service rendering at ZeTaw Monastery in TheinKone Village of Yemethin Township, gave words of comfort to the flood victims and instructed for communicable disease preventive measures.
On arrival at Pyawbwe Township, the Union Minister visited Myo Oo Zetawon Taung Monastery in AshayShawphyuKone Village and inspected the health care services rendered by the specialists from PyinOoLwin People’s Hospital.
On the same day, the Union Minister and party inspected the reoperation of the damaged hospital equipment at Tatkone People’s Hospital and provided cash assistance for the engineers from Department of Medical Services. The Ministry of Health is providing weekly health care services to the flood victims by assigning special medical teams to 49 flood affected townships. On 28th and 29th of September, health care services were provided to a total of 3,445 patients.
