




Member of the State Administration Council Khun San Lin, Shan State Government Minister for Transport U Nay Win Aung, Chairman of Administrative Body of Pa-O Self-Administered Zone U Khun Ye Htwe, and members of Pa-O National Organization (PNO) met with local residents on Tuesday at the Myathein TanPariyattiSarthintaikin Pin Laung Township of Pao Self-Administered Zone and provided financial assistance for losses caused by the natural disaster.
First, SAC member Khun San Lin, along with state minister for transport, the Chairman of Pa-O Self-Administered Zone and membersof PNO paid homage to the presiding Sayadaw of Mya Thein TanPariyattiSarthintaik, received five precepts, and offered cash donations and offertories.
Following this, the SAC member elaborated rehabilitation works especially for the implementation of transportation access and purpose of delivering cash assistance donated by the well-wishers. Next, he heard the clarifications of State Minister, Chairman of Self-Administered Zone about the flood affected Townships of Hopone, HsiSeng and Pinlaung.
U Nay Win Aung then presented plans regarding transportation initiatives, while U Khun Ye Htwe detailed the current conditions of the flooding in the three townships of Hopone, ShwePyi Thar, and Pinlaung. After that, SAC member Khun San Lwin provided flood relief donation of 10 million kyats and also PNO Secretary GeneralKhun Thein Pe donated 5 million kyats.
In the afternoon, SAC member Khun San Lwin and party observed the operation of the potato cold storage facility and the natural fertilizer factory.Later, during a meeting with local residents at the auditorium of Naung Taya natural fertilizer factory, SAC member expressed condolences for the destruction of homes, roads, and schools due to natural disasters and noted that collaboration among the government, local donors, and residents would be crucial for successful rebuilding efforts.
After that, State Minister for transport U Nay Win Aung supplemented reports of the local residents and SAC member provided 5 million kyats to Naung Mu regionand 10 million kyats for Naung Taya Region for rehabilitation and rebuilding process.
Contributions from local donors included 5 million kyats from the CB Bank in Aung Pan Township and 3 million kyats from the Potato Farming and General Cooperatives Society, totaling 230 million kyats, which the TownshipDisaster Management Committee and local residents received for rebuilding efforts in areas affected by natural disasters.
