Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing visited No. (3) Basic Education High School in Pyinmana Township, Union Territory, Wednesday morning (July 8). During the visit, the Union Minister observed and encouraged staff from the Pyinmana Township Officer’s Office as they issued Citizenship Scrutiny Cards (CSCs) and Unique Identification Numbers (UIDs) to students who have reached the age of 10 but have not yet received their citizenship cards, under the "Lamin Project" within the Government’s 100-day initiative for the benefits of the people.

First, the Union Minister and officials, along with the school principal, teachers, and members of the Parent-Teacher Association, observed the blood type testing for students inside the school hall. They also inspected the verification process being carried out by the township-level five-member committee, as well as the staff collecting data for the CSCs and capturing UIDs via the e-ID system. The Union Minister then coordinated with responsible officials to fulfill the operational needs.

Following this, the Union Minister and officials presented the completed CSCs and UIDs individually to the respective students through a same-day One-Stop Service under the 100-day Lamin Project. He then provided foodstuffs to the township office staff and distributed nutritious snacks to the students.

Under the government's 100-day Lamin Project, the ministry is carrying out nationwide operations issuing cards at respective township offices to citizens aged 18 and above who have not yet received their CSCs due to various reasons or whose cards are lost or damaged, while also making field visits to respective schools to issue cards to students who have turned 10 and do not yet hold an CSC, it’s reported.
